The Chinese and What they Really Stand For

After reading the article on the 2008 Olympic Games, I found that there are a lot of different things that China has been covering up from the rest of the world so that they will be able to have the Olympics. China is a country that has been devaluing people for many years and won’t let it stop. They keep torturing people so that they will confess to crimes that they didn’t commit. They keep killing helpless and innocent human beings because they aren’t doing exactly what the government of china want them to do. This genocide will keep going unless people bring it to the attention of others who are able to do something about it.
I have found other complaints about why china should not be able to host the Olympic Games in 2008. The subject of Darfur is a big deal today and has not been dealt with much. The Chinese republic has been trading with Sudan for oil and other things which has been aiding in the deaths of over 200,000 people in Darfur. The participants in the games are going to try to get everybody participating in the games to hold peaceful protests when they receive their medal. They say that instead of giving a speech on the achievements and other things of that nature they will speak about china and how it is killing people in Darfur and in their own country.
Of course there is another side of the story. Although it is posted by the Chinese, it still doesn’t tell of why they should have to games in the country other than because they have the resources and the people to make it happen. They also say that it will be one of the best sporting events in the world. This argument is not a strong one against everything else that has been brought against the Chinese republic.
After everything that I have heard and read about china and what they are doing to people I think that the Olympic games should be held in a country that is fair to all people and at least don’t attack their own civilians. The slogan for the Chinese Olympic games is “One World, One Dream” is a big contradiction to what china stands for and is not they way that humans should act to each other.
