LaSalle students join in with Polar Bear Plunge
This past weekend, the Polar Bear Plunge took place down at Newport. With a fifty dollar donation and being sponsord by lasalle took the plunge into the coldest water that anybody would want to go into this year. Outfittted in the lasalle apparel, these students jumped in the frigid water that just that morning had over an inch and a half of ice on top of the water. the students didn't do this only for the fun of it but they did this for charity for the special olympics. the students were, Joe Mauch, Elliott Ross, Rob Braun, PJ Roemer, and Mike Metz. They said that after they jumped in the water was so cold that they couldn't really breathe after they were trying to get out of the water. In all they said that it was good that they did this for charity and that they had some fun although they did go last.
